Biography
Sabrina Yuan Hao is Assistant Professor at Faculty of English Language and Culture, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. She is also member of China Studies Centre, the University of Sydney. Before joining Faculty of English Language and Culture, she taught at universities in Australia and GDUFS’ School of Interpreting and Translation Studies. In addition to academic career, she has industry experience as accounting and finance professional. She has taught courses in languages, literary translation, commercial translation, literature criticism, comparative literature, and academic writing. Her research interests include crime fiction, law and literature, comparative literature, translation studies, postcolonialism and globalization. She has published works on crime fiction, Shakespearean tragedy, comparative and world literature. She is the author of Robert van Gulik and His Chinese Sherlock Holmes: The Global Travels of Judge Dee (Brill 2023).
